Carlo Ancelotti has allegedly turned down the opportunity to become the new manager of Italy.
In October, Ancelotti was removed from his position at Bayern Munich but since his sacking, the 58-year-old has been linked with a number of jobs.
Earlier this week, it was claimed that the Italian Football Association was keen on speaking with Ancelotti, but agent Giovanni Branchini has told Radio Deejay that the highly successful coach has rejected the chance to take charge of his national team.
The vacancy comes after Gian Piero Ventura left the role after Italy failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup due to a 1-0 aggregate defeat to Sweden in the playoffs.
Former Manchester City and Inter Milan boss Roberto Mancini - now at Zenit St Petersburg - has also ruled himself out of the running to replace Ventura.
