Paris Saint-Germain defender Serge Aurier has told of his pride after helping the Ivory Coast win the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
Aurier played a prominent role in his country's progression to the final, in which they were crowned champions following an exhausting penalty shootout with Ghana.
"After playing in my first World Cup, I played in my first Africa Cup of Nations. They are special emotions," Aurier told PSG's official website.
"Playing for the Cote d'Ivoire means a lot to me. The people there are ready to sacrifice everything for their country.
"We weren't incredible in qualifying and we didn't start the tournament as favourite. I really didn't expect it to go the way it did. We finished with the Cup and it was something magnificent."
PSG currently occupy top spot in the Ligue 1 table, but second-placed Lyon hold a game in hand.
