Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has expressed his delight after seeing his side win the Italian Super Cup.
The Bianconeri claimed a 2-0 victory over Lazio in Shangahi to lift the trophy for the third time in four seasons.
"I'm very happy for the lads, who adapted well to the terrible conditions of the pitch. We needed a performance of character," Allegri told Rai Sport.
"We had some good chances, one we wasted horribly and two that we took well. It was important to win today because we had some new players who need to settle in and were missing some others.
"The Super Cup is an important trophy and it's always a pleasure to win."
Juventus have now won the Super Cup a record seven times.
