Striker Claudio Pizarro has reached an agreement with FC Koln to sign for the German club on a free transfer.
The 38-year-old had been without a club since being released by Werder Bremen at the end of last season, but Koln have given the Peruvian the chance to continue his career.
The Bundesliga side - who sit at the bottom of the standings - have only netted once in six league games, while defeats have also been suffered against Arsenal and Red Star Belgrade in the Europa League.
During the most recent campaign, the former Chelsea forward netted just once in 19 appearances for Bremen, but the veteran made his name during two spells with Bayern Munich.
Pizarro's record at Bayern reads 104 goals scored in 288 appearances in all competitions.
