Great Britain's men's football team manager Stuart Pearce has been to watch LA Galaxy's David Beckham in action.
The former Manchester United and Real Madrid winger has been widely tipped to be awarded one of the slots in Pearce's squad for this summer's Olympic Games in London.
Beckham believes that the fact Pearce travelled all the way to the United States to watch him play is a good sign for his chances.
"He's coming to see a player that he's thinking of picking for the Olympics, so he would do it to a number of players," said the former England captain.
"It's a little bit easier for him for players in Europe, but, obviously, coming all the way over here is good for me."
Galaxy lost the match to New York Red Bulls 1-0.
