Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has revealed that Jamie Vardy has trained ahead of this weekend's trip to Newcastle United.
The striker, who has scored in each of his last nine Premier League appearances, missed both of England's recent friendlies against Spain and France because of a hip injury.
However, despite his presence at training today, Ranieri has insisted that the 28-year-old will only feature against the Magpies if he is fully fit.
"Today he trained a little and tomorrow I hope he can continue to train. On Saturday if he's fit, he'll play. I don't want to risk a player for one match and lose him for a month," the Italian boss told reporters.
Vardy is the Premier League's leading goalscorer this term with 12 goals to his name - five more than any other player.
