Sam Allardyce has reportedly distanced himself from the vacant managerial position at Leicester City.
The 60-year-old, who departed West Ham United at the end of last season, had been strongly tipped to take over at the King Power Stadium following the sacking of Nigel Pearson earlier this week.
According to The Mirror, Allardyce is reluctant to make a return to management anytime soon and will instead take a prolonged break.
Bolton Wanderers boss Neil Lennon is now the favourite to be appointed by Leicester chiefs, having seemingly opened the door for a return to his former side.
