Andy King: 'Leicester City should have beaten West Bromwich Albion'

Leicester midfielder Andy King admits that his side should have beaten West Bromwich Albion having been held to a 2-2 home draw by the Baggies.

Leicester City midfielder Andy King has admitted that his side should have won their Premier League clash against West Bromwich Albion this evening.

King put his side ahead right on the stroke of half time after an earlier Danny Drinkwater strike had deflected in off Jonas Olsson to cancel out Salomon Rondon's opener.

However, Craig Gardner's free kick early in the second half proved to be enough to earn the Baggies a point, despite Leicester also hitting the woodwork on two separate occasions.

"We should have won the game. They only had a couple of shots and they scored," King is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.

"We have to pick ourselves up again and go on Saturday. We've got that belief, so we always thought we would score. It's disappointing."

The draw nudges Leicester three points clear at the top of the Premier League table, although they would drop to second on goal difference should Tottenham Hotspur beat West Ham United at Upton Park on Wednesday.
