Leicester City's Michael Cain has revealed that he hopes to gain valuable experience during his loan spell with Mansfield Town.
The midfielder, 20, who joined the Stags on a one-month loan in February, came on for the final 20 minutes of the 4-1 defeat to Bury.
Despite that unhappy start to his Mansfield career, Cain is hopeful that he can use his time at the League Two club to improve his chances of breaking into Leicester's first team.
"Obviously, to play in the Championship is a tough ask for any young kid. The more experience you have throughout the leagues, progressing forward, the easier it will become for you," Cain told the Nottingham Post.
"I've settled in well. The lads have made me feel very welcome, and also the fans have too, through media and on game days around the place.
"I'm very happy to be here."
Cain could be involved in Mansfield's clash against Dagenham & Redbridge this afternoon.
