Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater has paid tribute to Islam Slimani after the summer signing from Sporting Lisbon scored twice on his Premier League debut on Saturday afternoon.
Slimani, a club-record signing from Portuguese giants Sporting, hit a brace as Leicester returned to winning ways in the league with a comfortable 3-0 victory at home to Burnley.
Drinkwater has hailed the striker's "great performance" and revealed that the 28-year-old has settled quickly into life at the King Power Stadium.
"It was a great performance from him on his debut. He deserved his goals. He fits in really well because he's a hard worker and also has ability. He has trained really well and he helps set up the way we play – he's a really good addition to the squad," Drinkwater told reporters.
Leicester sit ninth in the Premier League table after collecting seven points from their five games this season.
