Leicester City midfielder Andy King has said that his side "owed the club" their performance during the 4-2 victory over Manchester City this evening.
Goals from Jamie Vardy and King saw Leicester take a 2-0 lead inside five minutes at the King Power Stadium, and Vardy went on to complete his hat-trick as the Foxes secured a memorable victory.
The performance bore many of the hallmarks that saw Leicester win the Premier League title last season, and King revealed that the team were looking to get back to the basics of what made them so successful.
"Today was about getting back to basics getting in peoples faces, playing a high tempo," he told BT Sport.
"We owed the club and to do it against such a good team was good. We know we have been better than what we have showed."
Leicester now sit 14th in the table, four points clear of the relegation zone.
