Leicester City defender Paul Konchesky will serve his original three-match ban after his appeal was rejected by an independent Football Association commission.
The 32-year-old was given a straight red card during his side's 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Wednesday evening.
Both the club and the English governing body have confirmed that the appeal was not successful, and the ban will begin with immediate effect.
Konchesky will be ineligible for Leicester's matches against Ipswich Town, Charlton Athletic and Barnsley.
