Leicester City have joined the race to sign Red Bull Salzburg striker Chukwubuike Adamu, according to a report.

The 20-year-old has played 22 games this season in the Austrian Bundesliga, scoring five times in those, while he also opened his account in the Champions League.

The forward has also earned his first international call-up within this campaign, which took place in November, as he has now caught the eye of other clubs.

According to the Daily Mail, Leicester are now one of several teams interested in signing Adamu in the upcoming summer transfer market, with the £15m-rated footballer having plenty of options.

Marseille, Monaco and Southampton are all keeping tabs on the youngster, seeing him as a possible option to bolster their own respective squads.

The Foxes have scored 42 goals in the Premier League this season, with only two teams in the top ten having a lower number.
