Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson has said that his side deserved the three points after beating Aston Villa 1-0 on Saturday.
Paul Konchesky's first Premier League goal since 2009 was enough for the Foxes to win their first home game since they beat Manchester United in September, and Pearson was happy with their display.
He told reporters: "I am very pleased. We deserved to win in a game that was not one of our better performances with the ball. We dominated the game in terms of chances.
"We are still in a tough position but we are making progress. I am glad the players are passionate about what goes on."
Leicester continue their fight against relegation when they face Stoke City next weekend.
