Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has admitted that he appreciated Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho's x-rated compliment to him last season.

The 28-year-old recalled Mourinho swearing at him after his Chelsea team won 3-1 at the King Power Stadium.

Vardy told the Daily Star: "I can't repeat exactly what he said, you wouldn't be able to put it in the paper, he came up to me outside the dressing room and basically said 'Do you ever stop running?'

"That's quite a compliment coming from him. It was brilliant and I had to just have a little laugh about it.

"He didn't have to come over and say anything. But for him to think I was a nuisance was great - it's probably what most people think anyway."

Leicester host Arsenal in the Premier League later today.
