Crystal Palace are reportedly prepared to do battle with Bayer Leverkusen for the signature of Leicester City attacker Demarai Gray.
The 24-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at the King Power Stadium and Brendan Rodgers has accepted that he will most likely move on this year.
Gray's current deal at Leicester will expire in six months' time, meaning that he is free to discuss and sign a pre-contractual agreement with clubs elsewhere this month.
According to the Daily Mail, Leverkusen have taken a liking to the Leicester man, but Palace are also in the race for his services.
The report adds that it will take a bid of £1.8m to prise the attacker away from Leicester this month, and an intense battle for his signature is likely to commence should he see out his contract and become a free agent in the summer.
Gray has only played 18 minutes of top-flight football for Leicester this term, although he has registered three goals and one assist for the Under-23s team.
