Juventus are reportedly interested in signing Leicester City defender Wout Faes in the New Year.

The 26-year-old has been an ever-present in the Premier League for the struggling Foxes so far this term, starting all seven of their league matches.

Following a six-game winless run, Steve Cooper's troops picked up their maiden victory of the top-flight campaign, securing a narrow one-goal success over Bournemouth at the King Power Stadium last weekend.

Although primarily in the XI for his defensive abilities, the Belgium international also poses a threat at the other end of the pitch, as shown at Craven Cottage against Fulham on August 24.

Since making the switch from Ligue 1 outfit Reims during the summer window of 2022, Faes has made 90 competitive appearances for the East Midlands club, scoring on four occasions.

Juventus to scout Leicester's Faes during international break?

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport via Football Italia, Leicester could be in serious danger of losing the services of Faes during the January transfer window.

The report claims that Italian giants Juventus are eyeing up a switch for the 21-time international in the New Year in an attempt to resolve their lack of options at centre-back.

The Old Lady are battling on without the talents of Brazilian star Gleison Bremer, who is sidelined for the entire season due to a cruciate ligament injury.

It is understood that Juve director Cristiano Giuntoli will be in Rome on Thursday night, when Faes is expected to feature for Belgium against Italy in the UEFA Nations League.

The Serie A contenders are also supposedly scouting fellow Belgians Lois Openda, Dodi Lukebakio and Zeno Debast over the course the October international schedule.

Leicester set for defensive exodus?

With a relegation battle on the cards for Leicester at the King Power this season, a January move to Italian powerhouses Juventus could be an attractive proposition for Faes.

That being said, the defender has stuck with the Foxes through difficult periods in the past, including a slog of a campaign in the Championship last term.

Faes is not the only Leicester defender who could be on the move in 2025, with Italy international Caleb Okoli said to be attracting interest from the likes of Tottenham Hotspur.

Newcastle United and West Ham United are also supposedly keen on the 23-year-old, who joined the Foxes from Europa League holders Atalanta BC over the summer.
