Leicester City are reportedly set to submit a bid for Swansea City forward Joel Piroe.
The Dutchman has racked up the goals since joining the Welsh side from PSV Eindhoven in the summer of 2021.
During his two seasons as a Swansea player, Piroe has registered 44 goals in 92 appearances across all competitions.
Piroe is widely expected to leave Swansea this summer after making it clear that he will not be signing a new contract.
The striker's current deal is set to expire in June 2024, and as a result, they will sanction a sale rather than allow him to walk away for nothing next summer.
Enzo Maresca's side are showing an interest in the 23-year-old and reports in the Netherlands have suggested that the Foxes have tabled an offer.
According to Wales Online, Leicester are yet make an official bid, but they are expected to submit an offer in the coming days.
The Foxes were put off by Swansea's £20m valuation when they explored the possibility of making a move for the Dutch striker last summer.
However, Swansea's asking price is now expected to be considerably lower due to the player's contract situation.
They will face competition for his signature, though, with a number of clubs believed to be showing an interest in the Swansea man.
Southampton, who recently prised manager Russell Martin away from Swansea, are among those that have been mooted as a potential destination.
The tense relations between the two clubs could scupper Southampton's hopes of recruiting the 23-year-old following a disagreement over the compensation package for Martin.
Premier League clubs Everton and Nottingham Forest have made enquiries, but they are yet to make a formal approach.
There is reportedly interest from an unnamed Italian side, who are said to be among Serie A's 'top five' clubs. body check tags ::
