Leicester City have completed the signing of Dean Hammond from Southampton on a two-year deal.
Hammond joins the Foxes for an undisclosed fee having spent four years at St Mary's, helping the side to win consecutive promotions from League One to the Premier League.
The 30-year-old found himself on the outskirts of the squad once they reached the top flight, however, and he spent last season out on loan with Brighton & Hove Albion.
"Southampton Football Club thanks Dean for his dedicated service during his four years at St Mary's, and wishes him the very best for the future," read a statement on the club's official website.
Hammond, who captained the Saints to the League One title in 2010-11, made 145 appearances for the club, scoring 11 goals.
