Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri has reportedly identified Lucas Perez as the ideal player to provide some competition for Jamie Vardy next season.
Vardy has been one of Leicester's key players this term, scoring 24 goals as the Foxes romped to a historic Premier League title.
However, it is believed that with Champions League commitments to manage next term, Ranieri is eager to bolster his squad in all departments - including up front.
According to The Guardian, Ranieri has been particularly impressed by Deportivo La Coruna frontman Perez.
The 27-year-old has scored 17 La Liga goals so far this season, which accounts for a third of Deportivo's team tally.
The uncapped Spaniard is contracted to his hometown club until the summer of 2019.
