Leicester City midfielder Jeffrey Schlupp has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for West Bromwich Albion.
Schlupp played 24 times during Leicester's surprise Premier League triumph last season, but the majority of those appearances came off the bench and Baggies head coach Tony Pulis is hopeful of tempting the 23-year-old away from the King Power Stadium.
According to the Express & Star, West Brom have made a £9m offer for the left-sided player, who can play in both defence and midfield.
Pulis has already signed winger Matt Phillips and if a transfer could be completed, if would further strengthen the club's threat going forward after only 34 goals were scored in the top flight last season.
If a deal can be pushed through, it would break West Brom's current transfer record of £8m, which they paid Hull City for defender James Chester.
