Levante boss Rubi has insisted that his team have 'an obligation' to perform to their "highest possible level" against Atletico Madrid on the penultimate weekend of the La Liga season.
Levante have already been relegated to the Segunda Division with two games left, but could still have a big say in the title race as they welcome second-placed Atletico to Valencia on Sunday afternoon.
Rubi has played down suggestions that his basement side will simply roll over when they host Diego Simeone's men.
"On Sunday we will compete well, our obligation is to be at our highest possible level. The first thing to do is to think about our fans, who have had very little joy this season and deserve to end with some, though nothing will compensate for going down," Rubi told AS.
League leaders Barcelona would win the title this weekend if they beat Espanyol, Atletico lose at Levante and third-placed Real Madrid, who are a point off the summit, fail to beat Valencia.
