Levante forward Arouna Kone has reportedly rejected an offer from Rubin Kazan because he is desperate to join a Premier League club.
The 28-year-old, who has 12 months remaining on his contract at Estadi Ciutat de Valencia, scored 15 La Liga goals last season to help the Frogs to a sixth-place finish.
Despite the success of his current club, who qualified for the Europa League for the first time in their history, Kone is understood to be keen to move on this summer.
Rubin had a £6m bid accepted by Levante, but Kone turned down the Russian club's offer when he became aware of interest from West Bromwich Albion and Sunderland, according to The Mirror.
The newspaper also claims that the Premier League duo value Kone at around £2m.
Kone has been capped 35 times by the Ivory Coast at senior international level, scoring nine goals.
