La Liga outfit Levante have announced the signing of former Liverpool midfielder Mohamed Sissoko on a short-term contract.
The Mali international has agreed a six-month deal until the end of the season, moving to Spain as a free agent after he negotiated his release from Paris Saint-Germain in September 2013.
The 29-year-old has been without a club since then, and has been linked with several sides across Europe.
Reading were among the first to express an interest, while Crystal Palace failed to reach an agreement with Sissoko after inviting him for a trial, according to Sky Sports News.
Levante, who play in La Liga, are believed to have the option of extending his stay for a further 12 months should he impress over the remainder of the campaign.
