Leyton Orient have hired former Genoa boss Fabio Liverani as their new manager, with previous boss Mauro Milanese returning to his former role of sporting director at the East London club.
Liverani, 38, enjoyed a successful playing career and made over 120 Serie A appearances for Lazio during five years with the Rome club between 2001-06.
In his first managerial job, Liverani lasted less than four months with Genoa after one win in seven games at the helm.
"I'm excited about this challenge and cannot wait to get started at Leyton Orient," he told the club website this afternoon after signing a two-and-a-half year contract.
"This is a long term project and we will work together to make it a success."
Orient, who have challenged for promotion from League One in recent seasons, are currently 19th in the third tier.
