Leyton Orient manager Russell Slade was delighted with the resilience that his side showed during their 1-0 win over Brentford on Thursday night.
Despite persistent pressure from the visitors at Brisbane Road, Ryan Brunt opened his account for the O's to help them to their second consecutive 1-0 victory of the campaign.
"It's becoming a familiar scoreline for us," Slade told the club's official website. "We lost the first two 1-0 but won the second two 1-0, so maybe these things even themselves out.
"It didn't look that way in the first half because we were up against a very strong Brentford and to be honest they could have been a goal or two up.
"But we defended well, we stayed in the game and we were much, much more competitive in the second period and we came out on top in a tight game."
The win has pushed Orient out of the relegation zone and up to 16th in the League One table.
