Lille playmaker Marvin Martin has been ruled out for between four and six weeks after undergoing knee surgery.
The France international withdrew from last weekend's 3-0 victory over Ajaccio in Ligue 1 with an injury to his right knee.
"Further examinations showed he had torn his internal meniscus. He successfully underwent a surgery this afternoon," read a statement on the club's website.
Martin joined Lille from Sochaux last year, signing a five-year contract with the club.
