Defender Jose Fonte has agreed to sign a deal with French side Lille.
Fonte made the lucrative switch to Chinese Super League outfit Dalian Yifang in February, but the centre-back's contract was terminated earlier this month.
However, it has not taken long for Fonte to secure a move to Lille, who have revealed that they are close to finalising the signing of the Portugal international.
The 34-year-old will undergo a medical with the Ligue 1 club in the coming days before resuming training upon the completion of his rest period after the World Cup.
Fonte had spent the previous decade of his career in English football with Crystal Palace, Southampton and West Ham United before deciding to move to Asia.
