Igoris Pankratjevas used his post-match press conference following this evening's defeat against England to announce his intention to resign as Lithuania manager.
The 51-year-old has spent three years at the helm in various roles, but could only guide his side to fifth place in their Euro 2016 qualifying group.
Moments after walking into the press room, Pankratjevas declared that he would step down as manager following "the end of the cycle" and promptly walked straight back out.
Lithuania won three of their 10 Group E games, two of which came against whipping boys San Marino, while also picking up a point away at Slovenia last week.
