Liverpool 'to recall Naby Keita early from Guinea duty'

:Headline: Liverpool 'to recall Naby Keita early from Guinea duty':
A report claims that Naby Keita will be told to return back to Liverpool before Guinea's Africa Cup of Nations qualifier with Namibia on March 28.

Liverpool will reportedly exercise their right to recall Naby Keita from international duty with Guinea later this month.

The 26-year-old is set to meet up with his national side next week for Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Mali and Namibia.

However, the Liverpool Echo reports that the Reds have taken the decision to block Keita from taking part in the second of those games on March 28.

FIFA has confirmed that clubs do not have to release players for duty at all over the next couple of weeks if coronavirus protocols prevent them from returning on time.

UK Government restrictions mean that players travelling to red zone countries must quarantine for 10 days upon their return.

Given that Namibia falls into that category, it is claimed that Liverpool will ask for the former RB Leipzig ace to return to Merseyside ahead of schedule.

Liverpool face Arsenal in their next Premier League match on April 4, before hosting Aston Villa four days later. body check tags ::
