Jamie Carragher
Jamie Carragher may not have had the skill level of a Luis Suarez or Robbie Fowler, but for years he was a stalwart at the heart of the Liverpool defence.
Only Ian Callaghan has made more appearances for the club than Carragher's 737 across all competitions, with 508 of those coming in the Premier League.
Having made his debut in 1996 it took time for Carragher to establish himself as a first-team regular in the Liverpool side, but after years of playing as a full-back it was his switch to the centre of defence under Rafael Benitez which brought the best out of the Bootle-born England international.
Carragher put in a towering performance in the 2005 Champions League final to keep AC Milan at bay following Liverpool's remarkable comeback in Istanbul, going on to win the club's Player of the Year award that season - one of three times he scooped that particular prize.
While the Champions League triumph was the highlight of his career, Carragher was also part of the 2001 treble-winning squad, the 2006 FA Cup-winning team and the successful League Cup sides in 2003 and 2012, eventually ending his Liverpool career with 11 trophies to his name.
The obvious absentee from his trophy cabinet is the Premier League title, but he helped the club finish as runners-up on three occasions before hanging up his boots in 2013 - almost scoring just his fifth goal for the club in his final game with a 30-yard drive which crashed against the woodwork.
