Romelu Lukaku has explained why he turned up 10lbs overweight at Inter Milan following his move from Manchester United, telling ESPN: "Normally I have a fine digestive system. I digest everything very quickly. That's how it had been my entire life. But what the nutritionist said to me was, it had stopped working. I'm good now. My body is in the zone."

Kompany expects City, Liverpool to dominate for years

Former Manchester City skipper Vincent Kompany has said that he expects Manchester City and Liverpool to dominate the Premier League title race for many years to come. "My opinion is that, at the moment, it's very difficult for the other clubs to compete because Liverpool and City are well-oiled machines," he told The Mirror. "These two teams have been so good at nullifying the danger from the other teams, I don't see the other teams being able to do that yet."

Manchester City target Thiago Almada has signed a new four-year deal with boyhood club Velez Sarsfield in his native Argentina. Big Sam set for shock Sunderland return?

The Sun reports that Sam Allardyce is keen on a surprise return to Sunderland if the League One side is purchased by an American consortium in the near future.
