Liverpool will face one of the most difficult tests of their season so far when they welcome former manager Brendan Rodgers's high-flying Leicester City to Anfield on Saturday.
Jurgen Klopp's side have won all seven of their Premier League games this term and know that a 17th successive top-flight victory would take them to within one of the all-time record heading into the second international break of the campaign.
However, the Reds looked far from secure as they survived a remarkable fightback at home to Red Bull Salzburg on Wednesday night, while Leicester sit third in the table with a higher points tally after seven games than when they won the title.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest.
Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: October 5 (vs. Leicester City)
Klopp talked up the possibility of Alisson being ready to return for this match, having not featured since the opening day of the season due to a calf injury. Liverpool are unlikely to take any risks with the Brazilian, though, and could choose to use the upcoming international break to ensure that he is 100%.
Status: Out
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: Unknown
Xherdan Shaqiri suffered a calf injury of his own last month and the club have not yet revealed the full extent of the problem. The diminutive playmaker has not been involved in any of the last three squads, though, and is not expected to recover in time for this match either.
Status: Out
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: October 20 (vs. Manchester United)
Joel Matip missed the midweek thriller with Salzburg after picking up a "slight knock" against Sheffield United last weekend and Klopp has confirmed that he will not take any risks over his fitness. The centre-back will be given the international break to ensure that he is fully fit for the crunch match with Manchester United later this month.

Nathaniel Clyne is a long-term absentee for the Merseysiders and is not likely to feature again this year after suffering a knee injury during pre-season.
