Liverpool attacker Adam Lallana has begun running outside for the first time as he continues to step up his recovery from injury.
The 29-year-old has yet to feature for the Reds this season after picking up a thigh injury during the club's pre-season participation in the Audi Cup.
The England international is estimated to be out until November and recently admitted that his rehabilitation is "going as well as it can".
In an update on their website today, Liverpool confirmed that Lallana has taken "another important step" in his recovery by running outside at the Melwood training ground for the first time.
Lallana had his most prolific season in a red shirt last term, scoring eight times in 31 Premier League appearances to help his side earn a return to the Champions League.
