Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Dejan Lovren will be available for Liverpool's home clash against Leicester City on Boxing Day.
It was initially anticipated that the centre-back would miss a number of weeks with the knee complaint that he sustained earlier this month.
However, the injury was not as bad as first feared, which means that the 26-year-old may start against the league leaders.
"Dejan Lovren is back in training and trained the last two days in a row so he is available," Klopp told reporters.
The Liverpool boss added that goalkeeper Simon Mignolet is also in contention following an injury absence, but James Milner will not recover from a calf problem in time.
