Liverpool midfielder James Milner could be sidelined until November with the hamstring injury he sustained against Manchester City on Sunday.
Milner was forced off after less than half an hour of the goalless draw at Anfield, with Naby Keita replacing him in midfield for Jurgen Klopp's side.
The injury is not thought to be particularly serious, but the Daily Mail reports that the tear is bad enough to mean that Milner is unlikely to feature again this month.
The 32-year-old will have the international break to recover, but is still expected to miss matches against Huddersfield Town, Cardiff City and Red Star Belgrade.
Milner could, however, be in line to return in time for the November 3 meeting with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
