Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been able to offer a positive update on Virgil van Dijk following his injury scare while on duty with the Netherlands.
The former Southampton man went down clutching his ankle against Turkey during September's World Cup Qualifying matches, which sparked fears of another spell on the sidelines.
Van Dijk has established himself as a key member of Liverpool's backline in the early stages of the 2021-22 season, and Klopp has affirmed that the Dutchman is raring to go for the weekend.
Speaking to the press ahead of Sunday's game with Leeds, Klopp said: "Virgil trained yesterday and is fine. Of course I was concerned. I asked him if he was OK and he texted back 'not sure', but after the game he gave a thumbs up and it was all fine."
However, the Reds will be without the banned Brazilian trio of Alisson Becker, Fabinho and Roberto Firmino, and Klopp has insisted that the FIFA-imposed suspension is "really not okay".
