Jurgen Klopp has expressed his frustration after seeing another of his Liverpool players succumb to a hamstring injury.

Belgian striker Divock Origi was forced off just 38 minutes into the Reds' 1-0 Boxing Day win over league leaders Leicester City with an injury that has also claimed Martin Skrtel, Jordan Rossiter and Daniel Sturridge in recent months.

"Origi did really well. I hope it is not too serious, we will see," Klopp told reporters afterwards. "Hamstring is the shit word of the year for me.

"It is always hamstring, hamstring, hamstring - that is the intensity of the game and fixtures."

Origi was replaced by compatriot Christian Benteke, who went on to score the winning goal just after the hour mark.

"Benteke did really well in the last week in training but we decided on this starting lineup because of the things you saw from Divock in the first half-hour - we needed his speed," Klopp added.

"Christian came in, it was not easy the first 10 minutes, and second half it was much better. He fought intensively and worked hard for the team and he made his goal. He did perfect in the situation."

The win - Liverpool's first in five league attempts - lifts them up to eighth in the Premier League table.
