Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Adam Lallana could still make a return to action before the end of the season.
On Saturday afternoon, Lallana lasted just five minutes after coming on as a substitute against Crystal Palace, and Klopp suggested that the playmaker's season may be over.
However, while saying that Lallana will still miss a number of weeks, Klopp has indicated that the midfielder's injury is "not as bad" as first feared.
The 50-year-old told the club's official website: "Thank God, that's not as bad as we thought – a number of weeks.
"There is a little hope, of course, that we can maybe use him again this season but we have to wait; it is absolutely not the time to bring any rush into the situation.
"It is not the Adam Lallana season so far. It makes the season so far even more special when you think that we have played the season without him. He will be back for pre-season, of course."
Earlier on Tuesday, Liverpool revealed that Joel Matip would likely miss the rest of the campaign with a thigh problem.
