Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has admitted that he is relishing the return of striker Daniel Sturridge.
The 26-year-old has struggled with a series of injuries over the past year, which has limited his impact with the Merseysiders as he last appeared in May before undergoing hip surgery.
Sturridge is now ready to retake the pitch after making enough strides in his recovery to bolster his side's firepower in the final third.
"Being able to penetrate is something we are looking at within the team. Of the last 19 games, in 17 of them we have only scored one goal [or less]," Rodgers told reporters.
"Daniel has come back with a real hunger to succeed. He's looked really powerful and fast – his quality is there for all to see.
"He looks a different level of player and when you have that fit available and strong, it can take your game to a new dimension."
Liverpool next face Norwich City in the Premier League on Sunday.
