Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has described Daniel Sturridge as being in "top-class condition", but has not confirmed whether the striker will be involved in this weekend's Premier League match against West Ham United.
The England international has not played since August due to calf and thigh problems, but following a rehabilitation stint in the USA, the 25-year-old is closing in on a first-team return.
"The team is becoming better and better, and when you throw Daniel into that, he shines a different light and adds another dimension," Rodgers told reporters.
"He's looked very, very good in training today, he was outstanding. But we'll give him another day and I'll have another chat with him tomorrow just to see where he's at, but he looks in top-class condition."
Liverpool are unbeaten in their last six league fixtures.
