Liverpool have reportedly welcomed Thiago Alcantara back to full training after his troublesome hip problem.
The former Bayern Munich man has not taken to the field since the 3-1 win over Newcastle United on December 16, and there were brief fears that he was set for a long spell on the sidelines.
However, Jurgen Klopp subsequently revealed that the midfielder would likely be fit to return after the international break, with Liverpool facing Cardiff in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Sunday.
In a major boost to Liverpool, The Athletic reports that Thiago is now back in full training with the Reds and should be in contention for the weekend's cup clash with Cardiff.
There is also a slight chance of Harvey Elliott being able to make his comeback after nearly five months out with an ankle injury, but Divock Origi is still a major doubt for the contest.
Thiago has registered two goals and one assist in 14 appearances for Liverpool in the 2021-22 campaign but has also been absent for 21 games due to injury and coronavirus.
