Friday morning's Liverpool transfer talk news roundup:
Report: Georginio Wijnaldum still considering Barcelona move
Georginio Wijnaldum is still contemplating his Liverpool future amid strong interest from Barcelona, according to a report.
The Catalan giants attempted to sign Wijnaldum when head coach Ronald Koeman, who previously managed the midfielder while in charge of the Netherlands, took over in August.
A move failed to materialise but Koeman recently reiterated that he remains a fan of the 30-year-old, who is due to become a free agent next summer.
Mundo Deportivo claims that, with the former Newcastle United ace able to open talks with Barca from next month, he is still unsure what to do beyond this season.
Wijnaldum has given little away when asked about his future in recent weeks, but Liverpool are believed to be keen to tie him down to a new deal.
Liverpool take on FC Midtjylland in the Champions League on Wednesday evening, with Wijnaldum in contention to feature.
Manchester United to rival Liverpool for Brighton & Hove Albion's Ben White?
Manchester United reportedly intend to make an approach for Brighton & Hove Albion defender Ben White in 2021.
After starring on loan at Leeds United in the Championship, White has since established himself as a regular starter at the Amex Stadium.
Despite having recently extended his contract until 2024, the 23-year-old remains on the radar of several Premier League clubs, including Liverpool.
According to Manchester Evening News, United have identified the versatile Englishman as one of their priority defensive targets.
The report suggests that White features on a shortlist of players which also includes RB Leipzig's Dayot Upamecano and Real Madrid's Raphael Varane.
Brighton will demand well in excess of £30m if any clubs express an interest in one of the next two transfer windows.
