The summer transfer window has now begun, with rumours and speculation continuing to swirl as Liverpool eye possible reinforcements.
Jurgen Klopp's champions have not been particularly busy during recent windows, but that has not stopped the rumour mill from linking them with additions.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Anfield.
Thursday morning's Liverpool transfer talk news roundup:
Liverpool 'allow Sheffield United to talk to Rhian Brewster'
Sheffield United have reportedly made progress in their bid to sign Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster.
The arrival of Diogo Jota from Wolverhampton Wanderers has led to the Premier League champions being prepared to cash in on the England Under-21 international.
Despite the youngster preferring to return to London, Sheffield United are regarded as the favourites to win the race for the 20-year-old.
According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool have allowed Brewster to hold discussions with the Blades, who are prepared to meet their transfer demands.
As well as receiving in excess of £17m for Brewster, Liverpool are insisting on a buy-back clause being included in any deal.
As it stands, other interested clubs such as Crystal Palace and Brighton & Hove Albion do not want to insert that option in the paperwork.
Manchester United 'consider Ousmane Dembele as emergency loan option'
Manchester United are reportedly not interested in buying Ousmane Dembele this summer but could attempt to sign the France international on an 'emergency loan' from Barcelona.
The Red Devils are said to be planning on signing two new players before the end of the transfer window, with a new left-back and right-sided attacker expected to arrive.
United have been strongly linked with Dembele as a potential alternative to Jadon Sancho as Borussia Dortmund hold firm on their valuation of the England international.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have 'no intention' of signing Dembele on a permanent deal, but the World Cup winner is viewed as a potential loan option.
The 23-year-old, who has also been linked with Liverpool this summer, has struggled with a succession of injury problems since moving to Camp Nou from Dortmund in 2017.
The attacker was a late substitute in Barca's 4-0 win over Villarreal in La Liga on September 27.
