Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer talk for Liverpool on Tuesday, November 17.

The summer transfer window has now closed and attention will begin to turn to January for Premier League champions Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp's side brought in Thiago Alcantara, Diogo Jota and Kostas Tsimikas during the summer, making for one of their busier transfer windows in the last couple of years.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Anfield.

Tuesday morning's Liverpool transfer talk news roundup:

Report: Liverpool serious about interest in Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe

Liverpool are reportedly serious about their interest in Kylian Mbappe and are prepared to offload one of their forwards to fund a deal for the Paris Saint-Germain star.

The Reds have been regularly linked with Mbappe over the past year after the France international hinted that he would like to work under Jurgen Klopp.

Funding a deal for the superstar player has proved tricky, but The Times suggests that Liverpool are open to the idea of selling one of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino or Sadio Mane to help raise some cash.

Despite supposedly rejecting three separate contract offers, meaning that he will become a free agent in 2022, Mbappe is said to be valued at around £161m by PSG.

Real Madrid are also thought to hold an interest in the 21-year-old, who has scored 97 times and registered 58 assists in 132 appearances for the French giants.

Liverpool 'rejected chance to sign Kalidou Koulibaly in summer transfer window'

Liverpool reportedly turned down the chance to sign defender Kalidou Koulibaly during the summer transfer window after baulking at Napoli's asking price.

The Reds are in desperate need of a new centre-back after losing Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez to long-term injuries, leaving Joel Matip as the only senior player available in that position.

However, transfer expert Ian McGarry has claimed that Liverpool could have had Koulibaly as part of their squad for the 2020-21 campaign as Napoli were willing to sell him in August.

Speaking on The Transfer Window podcast, McGarry suggested that the Italian side were after around €60m (£53.87m) for the Senegal international, which the Premier League champions were unwilling to pay.

Liverpool are expected to delve into the market when it reopens in January, with Tottenham Hotspur's Davinson Sanchez emerging as a surprise option.
