Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer talk for Liverpool on Wednesday, September 9.

The summer transfer window has now begun, with rumours and speculation continuing to swirl as Liverpool eye possible reinforcements.

Jurgen Klopp's champions have not been particularly busy during recent windows, but that has not stopped the rumour mill from linking them with additions.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Anfield.

Wednesday morning's Liverpool transfer talk news roundup:

Liverpool 'still considering Ismaila Sarr move'

Watford winger Ismaila Sarr has reportedly remained as a transfer target for Liverpool.

Despite their limitations during the summer window, the Premier League champions continue to be linked with a wide range of players ahead of the new campaign.

Although Sarr is said to be on Jurgen Klopp's shortlist, it remains to be seen whether the Merseyside giants are willing to pay his £40m asking price.

However, according to the Liverpool Echo, club officials are yet to make a concrete decision regarding an approach.

Sarr contributed six goals and six assists from 30 appearances during his first campaign with the Hornets, who are happy to cash in on the 22-year-old after their relegation from the Premier League.

While Wolverhampton Wanderers have also been linked with Sarr, they are now being credited with interest in other players.

Bayern Munich's Thiago Alcantara 'given extra time off amid Liverpool links'

Bayern Munich have reportedly allowed Thiago Alcantara to take some time to make decisions regarding his future.

Having entered the final year of his contract at the Allianz Arena, speculation persists over a potential switch to Liverpool.

However, in recent days, Barcelona are also said to have taken an interest in their former player as they look for ways to make improvements under newly-appointed boss Ronald Koeman.

According to Bild, the 29-year-old will spend a short period away from club affairs in an attempt to reach a conclusion over his next move.

Although the Spaniard has insisted that he has not requested an exit from Bayern, officials at the European champions have previously suggested otherwise.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has added that the next few days of discussions are "key" as Bayern look to recoup £27m.
