Adam Lallana has claimed that he is "raring to go" ahead of Liverpool's pre-season tour of Thailand, Malaysia and Australia.
The Reds fly out to Thailand on Sunday and play their first friendly in Bangkok on Tuesday, and Lallana, who missed last season's preparations through injury, is looking forward to the trip.
The ex-Southampton captain told Liverpool's official website: "I missed pre-season last season with the injury and I was disappointed to get off to a slow start. [This year] I'm back raring to go and it was quite a short summer because of the England games we had. But there's a good feel around the place and a few of the new signings are here so we're looking forward to getting working.
"It wasn't the only injury I had, I was stop-start probably three or four times throughout the season, which any player will tell you doesn't help. Hopefully I can get a good base under my belt this pre-season and when we tour and start the season firing."
Meanwhile, Raheem Sterling has reportedly claimed that he wants to be omitted from the squad that makes the trip after the Anfield club rejected two bids from Manchester City earlier this summer.
