The agent of Mario Balotelli has insisted that the striker had "many offers" to consider when leaving Liverpool.
The 26-year-old brought an end to an unsuccessful two-year stay at Anfield - the second of which was spent on loan at AC Milan - when he joined Ligue 1 side Nice for free on deadline day.
However, Mino Raiola insists that the French outfit was not a "last resort" for his client and revealed that there were also offers from Italy, Germany, England and Spain.
"Nice was not a last resort for Mario. He had many offers," he told reporters.
"There were alternatives in Italy, in Germany, in England, in Spain, but we chose this. The French league is interesting and is played offensively.
"The national team is something that Mario likes a lot, but today he should focus on Nice and their performance."
Balotelli could make his debut for Nice at home to Marseille after the international break.
