Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker has said that his team are "on the right track" to enjoy a successful season.
The Reds have collected 26 points from their 10 Premier League matches to sit second in the table, only behind the leaders Manchester City on goal difference.
Jurgen Klopp's side have also impressed in the Champions League this season, topping a group which includes Napoli and Paris Saint-Germain.
Alisson - a summer arrival from Roma - has insisted that his side will continue growing throughout the season as they look to secure silverware.
"It's a really important season for us - one of high expectations. There are already high expectations on us, given our quality. We have demonstrated this with only one defeat in the Champions League and we are unbeaten in the Premier League, having achieved important results," The Mirror quotes Alisson as saying.
"So I definitely believe that we're on the right track but it's too early to get excited. We have to keep our feet on the ground. We know it's going to be really difficult this season, given the quality of the other teams. We know how difficult it is to win this league.
"We have to fight a great deal, taking it game by game and step by step to do everything right and continue on the trajectory we're on at the moment.
"We know we can improve on the pitch. I think that's a positive thing, taking into account the campaign we've had up until now – joint-leaders with Manchester City – and there is still room for growth, both technically and tactically."
Liverpool will travel to in-form Arsenal in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
