Liverpool forward Craig Bellamy insists that his volatile days are over and he has calmed down as he has got older.
The Welshman is adamant that his attitude has changed and it has made him a far better player for the Merseyside club.
The 32-year-old has had his fair share of problems in his career, both on and off the field. However, he now believes his maturity has helped him settle down and give his all for Liverpool.
"I am aware of the people I need to surround myself with and have more of a focal point of where I want to be in my life and how I want to be as a person," Bellamy told reporters.
"Football is a complete hobby and I enjoy myself every day. I used to think I was obsessed but I am truly committed to my sport. I am committed to the club and the profession I am in and by doing that I give myself the best opportunity to be able to play well on a Saturday.
"I have been able to control so many different things in my performance and the football looks after itself - it is a nice feeling every day.
"Honestly, I feel so comfortable in myself at the moment that even if I wasn't on the bench it wouldn't mean too much to me because it would be someone else's opportunity."
Bellamy rejoined Liverpool in the summer on a free transfer from Manchester City.
